In response to Javed Akhtar’s criticism of “Animal,” Sandeep Reddy Vanga believes seeing his son Farhan Akhtar’s “Mirzapur” would make you want to throw up

Riding high on the unprecedented success of his movie “Animal,” Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently replied to Javed Akhtar’s criticism of his Ranbir Kapoor-starring picture. Before criticizing his film, the director advised the lyricist to review his son Farhan Akhtar’s work.

Speaking with Siddharth Kannan, Sandeep said that it seemed like the person hadn’t seen the movie. The statement implies quite clearly that the person did not see the full film. Sandeep expressed his dissatisfaction by saying that it is discouraging when someone offers criticism without having viewed the piece. He made the point that everybody who critiques a creative work without first taking into account their own environment is also guilty of this mindset, not just the person in issue.
Sandeep questioned why Farhan Akhtar, who was producing Mirzapur, had not received similar remarks. He made the point that Mirzapur, a program featuring obscenities from all over the globe, did not face any criticism of this kind from the person. Sandeep called attention to the discrepancy and questioned why the father wasn’t examining his son’s work as well, particularly in light of the possibility that seeing the performance in Telugu may be unpleasant.

Speaking at Aurangabad’s Ajanta Ellora International Film Festival, Javed Akhtar voiced worries about the kinds of movies that are becoming popular. He stated situations in which a guy invites a lady to lick his shoe or approves of hitting a woman, saying that it is risky when such moments lead to a movie becoming an enormous smash, without specifically mentioning any movies. The allusion seemed to be a reference to a moment in a much talked-about movie with the characters of Ranbir and Triptii Dimrii, albeit no names were given. It’s important to remember that Shahid Kapoor’s character smacks Kiara Advani’s character in a scene from Vanga’s film Kabir Singh.
Along with Ranbir and Triptii, “Animal” also stars Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Anil Kapoor. The film just debuted on OTT after its enormous box office triumph.
