“You Guys Name Me Wrong,” Wasim Akram Corrects Australian Colleagues on “Fakhar” Pronunciation

Wasim Akram, a former cricket player turned broadcaster, made fun of his Australian teammates for mispronouncing the name “Fakhar.” The renowned Pakistani bowler, who was a part of the commentary panel during the recently finished Test series between Australia and Pakistan, shared his insight and requested the other commentators to pronounce the phrase, which resulted in a humorous debate.

On social media, the conversation’s video has become quite popular. In the video, Akram stated, “There’s another name you guys mess up too. Try pronouncing Fakhar.” His other commenters’ incredibly humorous responses are what comes next.

The decision by Pakistan to rest fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi during the third and final Test match against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) was previously criticized by Wasim Akram.

Akram cautioned players to consider if playing T20 cricket will make them a millionaire or one of the sport’s greats. Shaheen was rested for the last Test in Sydney after Pakistan lost the series 2-0.

“There are five Twenty20s in New Zealand right after this, and Shaheen is the captain,” Wasim stated on Fox Cricket, as cited by ESPNCricinfo.

“Who cares about T20 cricket, though? I recognize that it exists for players’ and cricket boards’ financial benefit as well as entertainment, but cricketers should realize that Test cricket is the best.”

“Nobody knows what occurred in the Twenty Years’ Test in Sydney, so let’s talk about what happened last night in T20. The distinction is that. If these men want to be millionaires or great players in the game, they have to comprehend and learn. With a bit more common sense, you can become both,” he said in closing.

Australia defeated Pakistan in the last Test match of the three-match series, winning by eight wickets.
