<p>Jennifer Mistry has made new charges against Asit Kumarr Modi, the producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, months after first charging him with sexual harassment. In a recent interview, Jennifer charged Asit Modi of trying to sway Gurucharan Singh Sodhi, a crucial witness in her case. In TMKOC, he used to portray Jennifer’s husband.</p>
<p>Asit Modi allegedly paid off Gurucharan Singh Sodhi’s outstanding debts shortly after he agreed to testify in Jennifer Mistry’s case. <p>“Gurucharan is fully knowledgeable. Additionally, I would like to provide some background information. In May 2023, Gurucharan personally phoned me and informed me that he would testify in my favor in court. He had expressly promised me that he wouldn’t speak to the media, but that he would show up in court to support me, Jennifer told E-Times.</p>
<p>When I went to see him on June 9, he informed me that all of his unpaid debts from the previous three and a half years had been cleared when he was suddenly summoned to office on June 8. All of the unpaid balances that were stuck were cleared. I knew right away that he would not speak well of me. I didn’t tell him anything, but he said he could function as a middleman to get Asit Modi and I together for a discussion,” the actress said.</p>
<p>Jennifer also disclosed Gurucharan’s advice to get down and talk to Asit Modi in order to settle their disagreements. She said that even though she was first stunned by the idea, she consented to see the producer when the police pushed.</p>
<p>Even the police contacted me to arrange a meeting at the police station. At first I was hesitant, but I complied, but there was no response. In reality, they purchased the time and made ten more bogus accusations against me,” she said.</p>
<p>Jennifer Mistry accused Asit Kumarr Modi, TMKOC Project Head Sohail Ramani, and executive producer Jatin Bajaj of sexual harassment at work in May of this year. The three have been charged under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 354 and 509 (Assault or criminal force to a lady with intent to insult her modesty).</p>
